DESCRIPTION

The species was identified by Vishnu as Pigmy Ribbon Shark The sharks were sub adults. A Big-eye Hound Shark was also found in the same bycatch pile. The bycatch consisted of deep sea fishes such as Armoured Sea Robin, Sting Rays, Angler fishes, prawns etc. The fishing period spans upto 6 days. The catch was collected in 20+ crates. The catch send to dry and later turned into poultry feed. One crate may cost beyond ₹2000
