DESCRIPTION

The boat took 6 days to complete the journey. The bycatch included bottom and benthic fishes which indicates that the nets were dragged deep in the ocean destroying the benthic ecosystem. These fishes were sold in boxes , there were around 25 boxes.1 box was more than 60 kgs and costed 1500 to 2000 INR. The bycatch included other bony fishes,sharks ,rays etc. The bycatch was mainly sold for poultry and fisheries feed . The shark submitted below in the picture is Big eye hound shark.
